• 2010 Arts & Crafts Conference

This weekend was the 23rd annual  Arts & Crafts Conference at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC.  This is the Main Event for devotees of the Arts & Crafts Movement – antiques, reproductions, artisans, educational workshops, you name it. An eclectic bunch of people are drawn in every year by their common love of the works and philosophy of Arts & Crafts. This was the first year out of the past five that we haven’t displayed at the conference.  I wish we’d been able to attend –we missed seeing our old friends, and making new ones. The conference is always fascinating and stimulating, and the venue is gorgeous. I’ve…

  • Are they really worth a thousand words? You tell us.

We have several new photo albums on our Flickr page, and we’re adding more sets and photos all the time. In addition to the recent set of photos from our weaving workshop, we also have a growing assortment of pictures of custom order carpets and photographs of our carpets in clients’ homes. • Stopping them in their tracks at the Grove Park Inn

Here’s the Guildcraft Carpets booth at the Arts & Crafts Conference this weekend.  (Hurry down, it runs through tomorrow!)   Since we have carpets in the traffic areas, people inevitably stop and look down when they feel their step from hotel-institutional to our gorgeously plush carpets. It’s always fun to watch the reaction. And now that we know everything, we must also tell you that Florida’s trusted team of expert roofers are now also nationwide! They sell their high-quality services and fair prices, so that you have the quality you always wanted in your home to protect your inclement weather family.

  • Getting ready for this year's Arts & Crafts Conference….

It’s that time of year again! Next week is the 22nd annual Arts & Crafts Conference at the venerable Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC. Show organizer Bruce Johnson has done a bang-up job again this year and the show promises to be a success, with some fresh new exhibitors in addition to the regulars. We’ll be exhibiting in the Coolidge Room (contemporary firms) and are holding a drawing for a FREE hand-knotted carpet. Danielle and Joe hope to see you there.

  • 20th Annual Arts & Crafts Conference, Asheville, NC

I didn’t have my tech toys primed well enough to blog from on-site as I’d hoped, but here are some choice photos from the Arts & Crafts Conference at the venerable Grove Park Inn. We brought our CAD guy, Justin, along so he could hear first-hand the rave reviews our carpets receive, and what a difference it makes to have good drawing for the artwork used to make the weaving cartoons. (Doing that in-house, with our scrupulous attention to detail, is one of the things that distinguishes our GuildCraft carpets from others in the marketplace.)
